The bzip2 patch for libXfont, that was merged after 1.3.3, has a bug that causes it to crash when reading .bdf.gz, .bdf.bz2 or .pmf files. As /usr/bin/X is linked with libXfont, it may crash in some cases. The developer of the bzip2 patch overlooked it because of the horrific way pmf support was implemented in libXfont; luckily, just after 1.3.4, pmf support was removed, so 1.3.4 is and will be the only version affected. Attached is a dead simple patch that fixes the problem. In attendance of an upstream patch (I will post the patch upstream too), please release 1.3.4-r1 with this patch, and mask 1.3.4. Reproducible: Always

I think we can move libXfont 1.4.0 to portage now. I've already backported the necessary patches into 1.5.3-r3 or -r4. This could be a simpler way out... @x11, this needs to be checked though, I'll try to get to it in a week or so. Thanks
libXfont 1.4.0 is now in ~arch, closing. Thanks
