What's the point of all those VIDEO_CARDS ?
What is your video card really ?
Comment 3 Laszlo Papp 2009-04-10 05:44:52 UTC
Nvidia, and i use in xorg.conf nvidia driver!
Comment 4 Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-10 07:51:56 UTC
AFAIK gdm has its own logfile located somewhere in /var/log. Please attach that file to this bug report.
Comment 5 Laszlo Papp 2009-04-10 08:15:42 UTC
It's not a gdm problem, i experience this with kdm configuration of xdm too.
At this momment i just can start startx from console, but gnome/kde applications can't work.

Attach your xorg.conf and see if emerging
xf-input-evdev helps.

Everybody is entitled to a typo every once in awhile.
And this was a rather obvious one (obvious in how to correct it, that is)
