I am trying to compiling the app-text/texlive-2008 package, but can't compile its dependency package dev-lang/lua-5.1.4 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge '='dev-lang/lua-5.1.4

Expected Results:  
get the dev-lang/lua package compiled to emerge texlive-2008.

"at all" or "lately" ? Anyway, see, if rebuilding libtool helps.

That's a good question. I don't remember if I've changed the CHOST variable, but certainly not to compile any specific package. On the other hand, I had no reasons to do that since my hardware remains unchanged for 4 years and my Gentoo installation is also pretty old. ... Oh God, whata shame!  After emerge libtool, things gone right! Many thanks.
