Real error is few lines back: lrelease error: duplicate messages found in '/var/tmp/portage/media-video/avidemux-2.4.3/work/avidemux_build/po/avidemux_pt_BR.xml'
This is one of those cases that shows that mixing stable and testing is not always a good idea. Stable avidemux works with stable qt. The avidemux version in testing branch has the qt4 useflag disabled, because it breaks with the qt version in testing branch. I don't have the time to hunt for a proper fix, so I'm closing this as "wontfix". But I would accept a patch...
I think that would be better wait for getting 2.4.4 stabilized in a near future then :-)
