Description Serge Matveev 2003-08-13 01:10:23 UTC
Why xfree ebuild don't install cyrillic fonts if nls USE flag is off?
Cyrillic fonts is _NOT_ native language support.
Comment 1 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-08-13 01:27:07 UTC
what is it considered?
Comment 2 Serge Matveev 2003-08-13 04:41:05 UTC
I don't understood your question, sorry.

If I compile xfree with '-nls', cyrillic fonts (/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/cyrillic/) aren't installed.

Any program compiled without nls, didn't install translated messages (it's correct), but why Cirillic fonts are belonged to 'nls' category? If I resident in Germany or Japan? These fonts are "international fonts" only. Not "native langiage support".

Sorry, my English terrible.
