Please mark snipes-1.0.3.ebuild stable.
Created attachment 188794 [details] snipesunstable.png Looks ugly on x86, yet the stable version works fine. Could be my gfx card, though, but i found weird it just shows that on the latest version. Odd... Doesn't look like a gfx card issue, since the foreground/background colour of each tile is correct. Do you get the same sha1sum, if you do this?: # ebuild /usr/portage/games-action/snipes/snipes-1.0.3.ebuild compile # sha1sum /var/tmp/portage/games-action/snipes-1.0.3/work/snipes-1.0.3/intermediate/bitm8x8.h 2c7b516054e26af673104989d527be50da0ba180 What happens if you change resolution with F8, up/down and enter? Does the issue disappear when compiling 1.0.1, but come back again when compiling 1.0.3?

That's the sha1sum I would get, if I somehow didn't have od installed (which is part of coreutils). So your sprites were random data following a 0 byte array... > > > > > What happens if you change resolution with F8, up/down and enter? > Nothing, it just shows a white rectangle where i can't chose anything as i > can't see it. > > > > Does the issue disappear when compiling 1.0.1, but come back again when > > compiling 1.0.3? > > > Correct. > Does the issue disappear, if you: cp /usr/portage/games-action/snipes/snipes-1.0.3.ebuild /usr/portage/games-action/snipes/snipes-1.0.4.ebuild ebuild /usr/portage/games-action/snipes/snipes-1.0.4.ebuild manifest emerge -v =snipes-1.0.4 (And, optionally, replace: < make_desktop_entry snipes "Snipes" --- > doicon ${PN}.png > make_desktop_entry snipes "Snipes" ${PN}.png )
