When booting up the system from the basic CD (version see Summary), a reboot fails with this message: /sbin/rc: line 151: /bin/sync: No such file or directory /sbin/rc: line 151: /bin/sync: No such file or directory /sbin/rc: line 1: /proc/cmdline: No such file or directory /sbin/rc: line 153: /sbin/sulogin: No such file or directory /sbin/rc: line 6: /sbin/reboot: No such file or directory After this message I need to disconnect the power to be able to reboot the system. When e.g. booting from a CD created from i686-1.4-20030806-cd1.iso, it reboots normally.
drobbins has been helping out w/ the livecd of late, so I'm adding him to make sure he's aware of the problem. Daniel -- sorry if you already knew about this.
adding Azarah per his request.
This should be fixed on the 20030911 CD. Have you tried it?
No, but I will download it and try.
Yes, the problem is fixed on x86-basic-1.4-20030911.iso. You can close the bug report.
I can confirm that the 20030911 basic CD fixes that problem. Closing this bug.
