Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2009-04-04 23:16:27 UTC
When I was running "emerge -e work" it stopped because of expect failing to build. Then, I added latest version to my package.keywords (as it builds ok for me) but, when I tried to re-run "emerge --resume", emerge tried again to merge "old" and unworking version

I think that would be interesting being able to tell portage to re-check packages in remaining "world" packages list for including this kind of "updates"

Thanks

I usually just edit /var/cache/edb/mtimedb (of course after its backup) if I need to just change version or exclude some package. Really, deleting some packages from resume list (in case you aready resolved their merge manually), this produces invalid list, but "Invalid resume list" error is avoidable by resuming with --nodeps.
