When I try to update the package, the emerge crash I'm updating from dev-java/commons-cli-1.0-r5, looks as a junit or classpath problem. managed to resolve the same bug on my system by doing the following: emerge -C junit -> demerged junit-3.8.1-r3 which was the only one installed emerge ant-junit -> which emerged [ebuild N ] dev-java/junit-3.8.2-r1 USE="-doc -source" 451 kB [ebuild N ] dev-java/ant-junit-1.7.1 0 kB after that emerging dev-java/commons-cli-1.1 went fine.
sorry, meant to say "work around the bug". The bug still remains of course
Please reopen if there's still a problem with commons-cli-1.2
