Description Jose daLuz 2009-04-02 23:33:18 UTC
Trying to update avant-window-navigator from 0.3.2 to 0.3.2-r1, the dependency resolution failed due to this:

COMMON_DEPS="
	x11-libs/gtk+
	x11-libs/libwnck
	gconf? (
		gnome-base/gconf:2
	)
	gnome? (
		gnome-base/gnome-desktop:2
		gnome-base/gnome-vfs:2
		gnome-base/libgnome:2
	)
	xfce? ( xfce-base/thunar )
	!gnome? (
		!xfce? ( >=dev-libs/glib-2.15.0 )
	)
"

gnome-desktop is not a slotted package. For that matter, neither is libgnome so that would cause a failure as well. gconf and gnome-vfs are slotted so those dependencies would not fail. I'm guessing the dev who put this together doesn't use Gnome. ;-)

Yup, that's true, I could really use some gnome testing.
Sorry about that and thanks for pointing out the errors. Fixed in the overlay.

Not a problem, glad to do the testing. Thanks for the excellent work of the destkop effects overlay team!
