The News plasmoid in KDE 4.2.1 stays idle. After initial add/boot the internal part is white which means that the plasmoid does not try to retrieve the feeds automatically. After manually refreshing, the internal part becomes black (according to the theme) but no content is shown. I tested with many feeds, all working in KDE 4.2.0, including the default from kde. Even if there is some dependency problem there should be some kind of output. However, recently I did an "emerge -e world" so any such problems should have been resolved. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add the News widget in kde 4.2.1 2. Right click on it and press "Reload" Actual Results: Background color becomes black but no content is shown. Expected Results: After some time, the feed content should be shown. I have tried many things to resolve this. I deleted my .kde4 folder, I created a new user, nothing helped so I assume it is not cause of my configuration. Currently I am at kde 4.2.1-r3 on top of gentoo-sources-2.6.29 and everything is smooth and stable.
