Description Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-03-31 19:00:03 UTC
The following patches which entered 2.6.28 kernel are still needed in 2.6.29:

1915_ext4-automatically-allocate-delay-allocated-blocks-on-rename.patch
1916_ext4-automatically-allocate-delay-allocated-blocks-on-close.patch
linux-2.6.28-ext4-EXT4_IOC_ALLOC_DA_BLKS-ioctl.patch

As Theodore Ts told at ubuntu bug report these patches will enter 2.6.30.

Thank you in advance for you work.

Alright, they are now in the 2.6.29 genpatches trunk :)
Comment 2 Mike Pagano gentoo-dev 2009-04-05 01:44:58 UTC
Fixed in gentoo-sources-2.6.29-r1.
Comment 3 Gordon Malm (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-05 07:23:00 UTC
Re-opening simply for consistency sake because 1918_ext4-fix-discard-of-inode-prealloc-space-with-delayed-allocation.patch was not re-added with the others. Though obviously less important than the other three, it was in 2.6.28 and still applies to 2.6.29 so no reason to drop it.
Comment 4 Mike Pagano gentoo-dev 2009-04-06 14:27:15 UTC
additional patched committed to svn, will be in next release of genpatches
Comment 5 Mike Pagano gentoo-dev 2009-04-29 23:03:53 UTC
Released in gentoo-sources-2.6.29-r2
