Copied from official web site. Look there for more details. "R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. It is a GNU project which is similar to the S language... R provides a wide variety of statistical (linear and nonlinear modelling, classical statistical tests, time-series analysis, classification, clustering, ...) and graphical techniques, and is highly extensible. The S language is often the vehicle of choice for research in statistical methodology, and R provides an Open Source route to participation in that activity." Hi Castel
Hi Castelão. Is ths the same as dev-lang/R, which si in portage since, like, more than a year ;)? At least the description you give here is almost identical to that of this one.. Could you please take a look at dev-lang/R and see if this is the same one and if there are any additions you would like to do to the committed one? Please reopen the bug in such case (with proper patches/comments). George
