Try the latest kernel, there are patches since linux-2.6.26-gentoo-r4
Comment 2 Markus Meier gentoo-dev 2009-03-29 17:29:02 UTC
please do not CC archteams unless we can do something here.
Comment 3 manuel kuhn 2009-03-29 17:57:50 UTC
I am already using Linux Kernel v2.6.26-gentoo-r4
tried to go unstable... the ~x86 ati-drivers package complains that:
CONFIG_PCI_MSI ist not set in kernel..
Well, i searched, but I just cannot find that option in menuconfig.
buliding back to stable at present..
Comment 4 David Abbott (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-03-29 19:09:09 UTC
Look in Bus options (PCI etc.)
Message Signaled Interrupts
Comment 5 Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-03-29 19:20:26 UTC
kernel-2.6.26 is not the latest kernel version being marked stable. Please try the latest stable kernel-version. If the error still isn't gone then, reopen this bug.
Comment 6 manuel kuhn 2009-03-29 19:26:04 UTC
probably I am blind, I just can not find Message Signaled Interrupts

Please retry with activated pci_find_slot in your kernel config.

Reopen when it still fails.
