I checked thepackage and found this [root@cluster-1 All]# ls -l kde-3.1.2.tbz2 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 13644 jul 28 16:58 kde-3.1.2.tbz2 [root@cluster-1 All]# cp kde-3.1.2.tbz2 /tmp/ [root@cluster-1 All]# cd /tmp/ [root@cluster-1 tmp]# bunzip2 kde-3.1.2.tbz2 bunzip2: kde-3.1.2.tbz2: trailing garbage after EOF ignored [root@cluster-1 tmp]# tar tvf kde-3.1.2.tar [root@cluster-1 tmp]# [root@cluster-1 tmp]# ls -l kde-3.1.2.tar -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 10240 ago 11 12:05 kde-3.1.2.tar So the file is damaged, i downloaded the iso image form two diferent mirrors sites ibiblio and xodiac getting the same result... cheers.... kde is a meta-package; it just contains metadata to depend on other packages. So this is actually correct.
