Description Matti Bickel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-03-25 22:27:19 UTC
It's that time again... not a full month, but the difference to the current stable is rather small, so i think an extended testing period is useless. A few font, table and misc fixes are everything that's been done here.

I'd say stable either x11-libs/fox-1.6.35 or x11-libs/fox-1.6.36, your choice. Both are rock solid and 1.6.36 really only is a fix for FXTable.

Thanks!

ppc done
Comment 2 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-03-27 22:40:22 UTC
All these need to go stable at once:

=x11-libs/fox-1.6.35
=app-editors/adie-1.6.35
=sci-calculators/calculator-1.6.35
=x11-misc/pathfinder-1.6.35
=x11-misc/shutterbug-1.6.35
Comment 3 Matti Bickel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-03-28 09:50:12 UTC
That's right, sorry for the missing notice.
ppc IS done, b/c they do not have any dependant app stable, though.

Thanks for the advice, and arches: please stable the mentioned apps like this:
=x11-misc/pathfinder-1.6.35: hppa
=sci-calculators/calculator-1.6.3{5,6}: hppa sparc (which version you choose is up to you)
=app-editors/adie-1.6.35: amd64 hppa sparc x86
Comment 4 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-03-30 15:47:24 UTC
Sorry to intrude again, but stabilisation bugs are intended to improve keywording for all arches, regardless of whether they previously stabilised a version or not.

Please record in this bug report the reasons why you intend to hold back stabilisation of the applications split off from the x11-libs/fox library package.
Comment 5 Matti Bickel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-03-30 18:33:48 UTC
In this case: i just didn't think about it, sorry. In my life as a ppc stable monkey, i've only ever touched packages which already had stable marks on them. Simply because keeping up with the load was enough already. That might have changed, though and i concede that the apps take nearly no time to test.

I'll give it a spin, ask other ppc folks and do the work myself if needed.

Comment 11 Matti Bickel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-06 22:02:22 UTC
well, that's odd. I specifically uninstalled automake-1.4 for this - yet, i was able to merge fox just fine. It *does* omit a warning about your version of automake not being the same as the one used to generate the other files but happily goes on to merge the stuff.

I will investigate; if any other knowledgeable person wants to explain what happens here, please do.
