Description Marko Djukic 2003-08-09 10:02:04 UTC
When trying to emerge xfree-drm as per the instructions in the install guide and
doing a no-network install, it fails because it tries to fetch cabextract from
the network.

I don't think this is something for the docs-team, but more something for the LiveCD peeps. However, due to the big amount of GRP problems, I'll keep this here untill I'm definately sure its for the LiveCD people (don't want to get into a fight with them :)
Comment 2 Paul de Vrieze (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-08-11 05:45:57 UTC
Well, when I tried installing from the grp this weekend, cabextract was indeed missing from the grp, but needed.
Comment 3 Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-08-11 05:54:11 UTC
Indeed. I have a listing of the CD-1 and CD-2 and cabextract is not in them. Assigning to livewire. This is no documentation bug.
Comment 4 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-09 19:01:34 UTC
x11-drm no longer depends on cabextract
