emerge of parted-1.6.6 fails as it cannot download the source.  I'm guessing GNU
has moved it somewhere.

apparently, GNU people are checking the authenticity of the tarball, and have made it unavailable.  it'll be back "real soon now" according to them (on Aug 2).  Meanwhile, I'll see if I can get a copy onto our own mirrors

thanks to nate in #gentoo, I have put a parted-1.6.6. tarball on our mirrors now -- it should sync up in about 30 minutes or so.
