I think autobuilds are not stable. So why to use the stable tree to make them? For example it's 2 months (about) that i'm looking for ext4 support in the utils-linux and e2fs-utils. But it isn't there and I need to use ubuntu jaunty alpha5/alpha6. Why should ubuntu be a step forward us?
An ~arch installcd requires building a set of ~arch stages. That doubles the build time for the autobuilds, which is not desireable. Also, using pure ~arch for stages/installcd is a lot more likely to fail horribly during building. If you want versions of util-linux and e2fsprogs with ext4 support stabilized, file bugs for those.
