I don't know if it was the dispatch-conf that did it, or just that I restarted emerge. It could very well have been an environment issue that the package had some sort of dependency that was emerged, but the environment was not reloaded. You may want to investigate, so I'm still reporting it.

Please post your "emerge --info". By the way, when you are the reporter of a bug, there's no need to add yourself to the CC list as a bug's reporter receives notifications about changes of his bugs anyway.
