When emerging smartmontools, portage downloads the package then immediatly tries to resume downloading the package (never gets the point of compiling and merging the package. Occurs with at least sys-apps/smartmontools-5.1.16 and has also been reported on the forums (http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=73531). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. # emerge smartmontools 2. 3. Actual Results: (emerge tries to download package, fails, refer to the URL for example output) Expected Results: nikai on the forums writes that: Portage appears to assume that *-16.tar.gz was an unfinished download, and tries to resume it. It works for me when I rename the file to *.16.tar.gz, and change the name in the ebuild. Weird.
