Description Tim 2003-08-08 17:41:03 UTC
When emerging smartmontools, portage downloads the package then immediatly
tries to resume downloading the package (never gets the point of compiling and
merging the package. Occurs with at least sys-apps/smartmontools-5.1.16 and
has also been reported on the forums
(http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=73531).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. # emerge smartmontools
2.
3.
Actual Results:
(emerge tries to download package, fails, refer to the URL for example output)

Expected Results:

nikai on the forums writes that:

Portage appears to assume that *-16.tar.gz was an unfinished download, and
tries to resume it. It works for me when I rename the file to *.16.tar.gz, and
change the name in the ebuild. Weird.
