Description Joshua Keel 2003-08-08 13:46:33 UTC
When I try to emerge m4-1.4, I get a message saying that some MD5 digests do not
match. See below for specific errors.

I have tried deleting the sys-devel/m4 directory, deleting
portage/distfiles/m4_1.4-15.diff.gz, delting portage/distfiles/m4-1.4.tar.gz,
etc. I have also tried emerge syncing several times. I have tried using a
different mirror. I get the same results each time.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge sync
2. emerge m4
Actual Results:
I got the following results...

Calculating dependencies   ^H^H ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) sys-devel/m4-1.4 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) m4-1.4.tar.gz

!!! File is corrupt or incomplete. (Digests do not match)
>>> our recorded digest: dd3b693906f1a69319d8b99b914df25b
>>>  your file's digest: 3bd4f26bf2c3d1d74d17227446f1817e
!!! File does not exist: /usr/portage/distfiles//m4_1.4-15.diff.gz

Expected Results:
The MD5 digests should've matched, and m4 should've started compiling.

These are the results of an 'emerge info'

!!! No gcc found. You probably need to 'source /etc/profile' to update
!!! the environment of this terminal and possibly other terminals also.
