media-video/drip-0.8.1-r1 requires avifile for compilation, but the ebuild does not reference this as a dependency.
Well I think it actually does reference it, from the drip-0.8.1-r1.ebuild RDEPEND="gnome-base/gnome-libs =media-video/avifile-0.6* media-libs/libdvdcss media-libs/libdvdread media-libs/gdk-pixbuf" DEPEND="${RDEPEND} dev-lang/nasm >=sys-devel/automake-1.5-r1"
Yes, avifile-0.6 is referenced as a dependency in the ebuild already. It would be really super if the drip folks would run with the latest avifile (0.7 something) to make our lives easier. In the meantime, I am attempting to SLOT the 0.6 and 0.7 releases of avifile to allow them to co-exist. Not sure how successful I shall be, so if any of you have any ideas about it, I'd love to hear them.
Actually, Azarah is presently working on getting drip to compile with avifile-0.7.4, so let us see how that goes.
right, Azarah tells me this is now resolved, so there should be no more issues. -r2 of drip coming soon to a portage tree near you.
