platform: gcc 3.2.3, qt 3.1.2-r3, kde 3.1.3, glibc 2.3.2. With kmldonkey 0.9.1 it is possible to set mldonkey opts with a nice GUI. Which crashes, in my case, as soon as I press the OK button to commit changes. I mailed the author: he told me few other people reported the same problem. I pulled the latest cvs, packed it and created and alternate ebuild identical to kmldonkey-0.9.1.ebuild except for the source package, which pointed to the cvs tarball. This time no crashes. So this was probably fixed in cvs (but the author cannot explain this since it seems that the code related to the crash was untouched :)). Posting here, in case someone wants to put in portage an updated ebuild using a recent cvs snapshot. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open kmldonkey 2. open "mldonkey prefs" (in some menu) 3. change a option and click OK Actual Results: crash Expected Results: no crash :) changing of mldonkey prefs and back to kmldonkey.
We could probably add a cvs ebuild for this to the kde-cvs collection, but until the devs release a new version of kmldonkey there's not much we can do otherwise. I'll plan to add this to the kde-cvs package.
Okay, I added the cvs ebuild to the kde-cvs package http://dev.gentoo.org/~caleb/kde-cvs.html If you so desire to use a cvs version.
Wow! That was fast :) Thanks very much, the ebuild works perfectly, running kmldonkey right now :) Best regards, francesco
