I tested the experimental client eBuild and the eBuild worked fine. However the actual program would freeze up every time I tried to specify my custom upload rate. The shadow client seems to work great though. No problems to report with that so far.

The ebuilds have been added to Portage as bittorrent-mxs and bittorrent-theshadow. 
They are currently marked unstable for x86, ppc, alpha, and sparc.
