Description Balint Dobai-Pataky 2009-03-08 19:21:53 UTC
if i use the evdev driver for the mouse than if firefox or thunderbird is on the second monitor in xinerama mode, clicking on a link, tab, bookmark icon starts dragging for the first click, than for the second it clicks.
(or probably if the pointer was moved before the click than the dragging begins)

switching to mouse driver in xorg.conf, the problem does goes away.

Reproducible: Always

x11-drivers/xf86-input-evdev-2.0.8
x11-libs/libXi-1.2.1
x11-libs/libXinerama-1.0.3
x11-base/xorg-server-1.5.2

Oh, I forgot to ask you: please update your system to the latest ~arch packages, including xorg-server 1.5.3-r4.

Thanks
Comment 9 Balint Dobai-Pataky 2009-03-14 11:56:13 UTC
i tested =x11-base/xorg-server-1.5.3-r2, but i can't upgrade, since it's unusable.
Comment 10 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-03-14 12:02:37 UTC
Yes but some of the bugs you're experiencing have been fixed in 1.5.3-rX.

And how is it unusable? Let's fix that instead.

Thanks

I'll just close this one for now, I'm having a hard time following :)

Don't hesitate to reopen this one when bug 260700 is fixed and if this one is not.

Thanks
