Intel Corp. releases some packages for software development under so-called 'Non-Commercial License' (see http://www.intel.com/cd/software/products/asmo-na/eng/340679.htm). Many tools like dev-lang/icc, dev-lang/ifc, sci-libs/ipp, sci-libs/mkl are already in portage tree. It would be nice to have Intel Vtune (http://softwarecommunity.intel.com/isn/downloads/softwareproducts/pdfs/Brief_VTLIN.pdf) for supported platforms there too.
