okay, so we have Thomas Winischhoefers SiS drivers for X, here is the very nice tool to adjust the driver settings without quitting and restarting X. somewhat like Matrox' PowerDesk. note, I don't have portage on any box that runs SiS chipsets, so I've only been able to test this ebuild by copying the driver over to a RedHat-box using a SiS chipset. ~x86 is a good idea[tm].
Created attachment 15630 [details] the ebuild itself.
I'd appreciate this ebuild, too. The latest release is 20030924 so the ebuild has to be modified a bit... Radek
Created attachment 21011 [details, diff] sisctrl-0.0.20031119.ebuild Well I don't have a SiS chipset either, but I have cleaned up the ebuild a bit and bumped it to the new version. It merges fine and detects I don't have a SiS chipset when it runs, but I'd like a little more confirmation its working OK before I commit.
Calling all SiS 300/315/330 owners! Please test this ebuild. Thanks
Merges fine and runs well, too... This should be added to portage soon... Radek
It works here perfectly.
Thanks for testing, in CVS.
