This document contains a nice 'About the install' intro and such, but the documents end kinda rude with a lot of 'code' and there it just ends. How about a last paragraph or chapter with ... well, it doesn't matter. Don't just end with some coding about how LILO users should set the root option to the appropriate RAID device when running 'Gentoo On Less-Common Hardware' :p If none of the document writers can come up with a nice story, I'd be willing to write a nice peace :) -IF such closing speach is wanted. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
I'm talking about the install.htlm document which is bundled with the 1.4 release by the way.
Once upon a time there was a midget... I'll find a good story :)
A pinguin, it has to be a pinguin! No midget :( :p
A penguin? How original... :) Okay, consensus: a midget with a penguin as his personal pet ?
How about a midget penguin?
Created attachment 15736 [details, diff] Proposed patch to gentoo-x86-install.xml Okay, no midgets, no penguins, just two small sentences... the last section on the installation guide is meant as a reference (i.e. it's not the last thing the reader reads) for people who want to install Gentoo Linux on less-common hardware.
Created attachment 15814 [details, diff] New patch As proposed on gentoo-doc, new patch
This is a valid comment, should be added. Steph
