GNU ghostscript 8.62.0 has been released on 2008-05-04 (see http://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=5303). It would be nice to have a current ebuild in portage.

Steps to Reproduce:




It should be possible to drop the two patches used by the app-text/ghostscript-gnu-8.60.0-r2 ebuild in 8.62.0. As far as I can see, they are included in this version. :-)

ghostscript-gnu-8.62.0 has been added to the tree on 2009-03-19 (date according to the changelog).
