When I was trying to install GNOME, I have looked this message "ERROR: net-libs/gtk-vnc-0.3.7 failed."

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emegre gnome

which pygtk version is that ? you seem to have succeeded to install pygtk without having pygobject on your system. Also please don't forget to paste emerge --info thanks.

Sorry, I didn't have Internet access at this weekend.
I have pygtk-2.14.0.

I emerged pygobjects ("emerge pygobjects"), and after that I have built gtk-vnc :)

could you tell if you had pygobject before installing pygtk (according to deps you should) ?

To find that, please run qlop --list pygobject pygtk (qlop is from portage-utils but you can also use genlop). If you had it then maybe something corrupted the file on your filesystem.

I just rebuilt python-2.15.4 and the file is in the generated tarball so I guess this was a local problem. Please reopen if you can reproduce this bug. Thanks for reporting.
