Description Eric "me262" Mason 2009-02-24 18:01:56 UTC
app-benchmarks/ltp fails to compile, requiring libaio

cc -o growfiles growfiles.o -O2 -pipe -Wall -Wall -I../../../../include -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -Wl,-O1 -Wl,-z,now -L../../../../lib -lltp -laio -lrt
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.3.2/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -laio
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
distcc[9785] ERROR: compile (null) on localhost failed
make[4]: *** [growfiles] Error 1

Also, ltp fails to compile because of parallel processes, a patch was submitted on Jan 22, 2009 that fixes the makefile. Please refer to http://www.nabble.com/-PATCH--Fix-parallel-build-problem-in%09testcases-network-lib6-Makefile-td21598073.html

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -C libaio (if installed)
2. emerge ltp (must unmask and keyword it)
3.

STEPS TO FIX:
emerge -1 libaio

ebuild: DEPEND=dev-libs/libaio
Actual Results:
Compile Fails

Expected Results:
Compile Success

So I just added 20090131 to the tree. Does that fix your issues?
Reopen this bug if so. Thanks!
Comment 2 Eric "me262" Mason 2009-02-28 22:47:59 UTC
emerge -C libaio ltp
emerge -av =app-benchmarks/ltp-20090131

Compiles perfect.
Tests seem to be running fine so far as well.
A few of them are failing though.
