Description Chris Carlin 2003-08-05 19:59:59 UTC
A newer version has been out for quite a bit of time, probably since before
the ebuild was rolled.

URL: http://www.jabberstudio.org/projects/aim-transport/project/view.php

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Comment 1 Luke-Jr 2003-08-11 18:10:37 UTC
Waiting for bug 26440 before I can modify the ebuild this extreme.
Comment 2 Thomas Raschbacher gentoo-dev 2003-09-25 05:55:05 UTC
is waiting really needed for this?
Comment 3 Don Seiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-05 18:03:05 UTC
Where are the files for aim-transport?
Comment 4 Don Seiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-05 18:06:43 UTC
Anyone here know what the purpose the Install_AIM.exe file is for?
Comment 5 Don Seiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-05 18:10:03 UTC
I see the files link off the home page and what I see in the current ebuild is what they list as latest stable.

I'm not sure where I was looking when I reported this--surely I wouldn't make such a request without a tarball to point out--but I do know that the stable branch of CVS has some really significant improvements over that release.

These changes were committed forever ago, and I have no idea why they haven't made a new release.

In any case, unless Thomas Raschbacher can point out a later tarball I wouldn't object to closing this bug as something like "can't fix" or "later".

The net-im team is working on a split of net-im/jabber-server into separate packages for jabberd and it's various transports.

We'll return to address this bug after the split, hopefully within the week.
