When embedding latex equations into tgif image, during the processing a converter (pbmtoxbm) is called. when no netpbm is installed, application crashes

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. unmerge netpbm & tgif if installed
2. emerge tgif
3. create new figure, embed latex equation
4. doubleclick on the equation to re-render it

Actual Results:  
application crash

Expected Results:  
not application crash
