Am experiencing the same problem.

Am attaching my build.log in case it would be of any help.

please try media-plugins/kipi-plugins-0.1.7 and report back if it works for you as its already stable on x86.

I face the same problem here on amd64. Putting "media-plugins/kipi-plugins ~amd64" pulls in a bit too much other unstable packages in my opinion ...

I tried kipi-plugins-0.1.9 on x86 and it compiled fine. Thanks for the tip.

had the same problem, your suggestion seems to work on amd64 (successful emerge, no test of program itself yet)
Comment 9 Guenther Brunthaler 2009-05-27 00:44:49 UTC
Confirming on amd64.

Emerging the current stable =media-plugins/kipi-plugins-0.1.4-r1 failed, but emerging an unmasked =media-plugins/kipi-plugins-0.1.7 emerged just fine. (Emerged successfully with USE="gphoto2 linguas_de opengl tiff".)
Comment 10 Michael Mair-Keimberger 2009-05-30 11:35:53 UTC
I run into the same Error on amd64. Updating to Version =media-plugins/kipi-plugins-0.1.6 works too.
Comment 11 Lukas Turek 2009-05-30 21:02:19 UTC
Even updating to media-plugins/kipi-plugins-0.1.4-r2 works.
Comment 12 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-10-11 13:53:01 UTC
0.1.4 hasn't been in Portage for a while. The stable version is 0.1.7 for KDE3,
which is reportedly working here.

Closing.
