Confirming on amd64. Emerging the current stable =media-plugins/kipi-plugins-0.1.4-r1 failed, but emerging an unmasked =media-plugins/kipi-plugins-0.1.7 emerged just fine. (Emerged successfully with USE="gphoto2 linguas_de opengl tiff".)
I run into the same Error on amd64. Updating to Version =media-plugins/kipi-plugins-0.1.6 works too.
Even updating to media-plugins/kipi-plugins-0.1.4-r2 works.
0.1.4 hasn't been in Portage for a while. The stable version is 0.1.7 for KDE3, which is reportedly working here. Closing.
