When I try to open the playlist window, vlc abruptly terminates and simply displays "Aborted" on the console. I re-emerged it and did a revdep-rebuild however the trouble remains. It seems the trouble appears since I have updated the libQT (4.5.0)
I can't reproduce it here on AMD64 + qt-4.5.0_rc1. Are you sure that all your qt modules have the same version? Maybe some of them are still on 4.4.2 version
I tried several things: emerge -e system, removal of .vlc directories under my home directory, reboot. I don't know exactly which one of those solved the issue but I am now able to open the playlist window :-) Bug set to Invalid.
