I am unable to compile kguitar-0.5-r1 with gcc-4.3.2. I had no success with gcc-4.1.2 either. I am attaching complete build log since there is a lot of warnings and errors. I have: x11-libs/qt-3.3.8b-r1 and kde-base/kdelibs-3.5.10-r2 BTW. Make script was complaining due to the lack of automake:1.6 but emerging it manually didn't help. The problem is reporduced with gcc-4.1.2 on amd64.

This might or might not be related to your problem, but I couldn't reproduce this with current stable, GCC 4.3.2, or GCC 4.4.0. Please sync in hour, and try again. If that doesn't help, please try unsetting your LDFLAGS, and try again. If problem persists, please reopen.
I have synced and updated everything. I have also tried unsetting LDFLAGS but the problem still is there. I have kde-base/kdelibs-3.5.10-r5, kde-base/kdelibs-4.2.3, gcc-4.3.2-r4.

I was thinking of fixing them and releasing KGuitar 0.6 for KDE4 fairly soon."
kguitar 0.5* removed from portage, when they do release kguitar 0.6 please open a new bug for new package and we can look into adding it.
