bug filed for tracking the addition of `net-misc/cloudvpn' to Sunrise overlay. ebuild is `net-misc/cloudvpn-1.0.7.ebuild', I will attach it soon.
Created attachment 181891 [details] the actual ebuild already reviewed by #gentoo-sunrise IRC
That's nice, I was just looking for this ebuild! Mirek: thanks for posting this ebuild; I hope it will be added to the tree soon.
net-misc/cloudvpn-1.0.7 is in sunrise overlay now ...also, modified bug entry a little, so it matches the standards
Created attachment 188872 [details] cloudvpn-1.0.9.ebuild ebuild was only present for 1.0.7. 1.0.9 is stable and has features for bringing up the IP on an interface after the listener starts. cloudctl is also missing, and the manpage moved to a different location.
Created attachment 188881 [details] cloudvpn-1.0.9.ebuild updated ebuild including cloudctl
update: pushed cloudvpn-1.0.9.ebuild to sunrise SVN.
/me waits for 2.0 series with cmake. Then it will surely go to the main tree. Because i wont maintain the scons madness :D
Created attachment 191281 [details] cloudvpn-9999.ebuild from git repository The attached ebuild could use some improvements to properly use eautotools, I couldn't get those to work. At upstream's request, omit one of the three binaries stunproxy pending further development. A process controller like cloudctrl is also pending development. There is no default configuration provided, see README, but when a skeleton .cfg is provided, it should be added to the ebuild at something like /etc/cloudvpn/cloudvpn.skel
Created attachment 191639 [details] a little fixed git ebuild
Created attachment 191641 [details] version bump version bump. Also, this doesn't make 1.0.9 obsolete yet, it's just a different branch.
ebuilds 1.99.4 + 9999 added to sunrise SVN, could some devs push it to main sunrise? (scarabeus (tomas chvatal) already reviewed (and helped to fix) both) thanks
Hello, everyone. It seems that at least one ebuild related to this bug exists in the Sunrise overlay at the moment. However, I have to regretfully announce that after a long inactivity period the Sunrise project has been discontinued and the related overlay will be eventually removed. For this reason, I'd like to ask you to reevaluate the ebuilds and consider moving them. If you'd like to maintain a package from Sunrise in Gentoo, please take a look at our Proxy Maintainers [1] project. Please make sure to take ebuilds from the unreviewed developer Sunrise repository [2] rather than the -reviewed one, since the latter has not been updated for over a year. While at it, please note that: 1. Adding a package to Gentoo requires declaring yourself as an active maintainer for it. All bugs regarding the package will be assigned to you, and you will be expected to maintain it. 2. Some packages may not be suitable for addition anymore. While there's no strong rules that would prevent you from adding a package, it may be a bad idea to add old-unmaintained packages that will shortly result in a large number of bugs reported with no solution. If that is the case, please close the bug as RESOLVED/OBSOLETE to make it easier to find packages worth adding. 3. Some of the bugs were already closed as WONTFIX/OBSOLETE/... while the relevant ebuild was kept in Sunrise. If you disagree with the original decision, you still can add the ebuild via proxy-maint. 4. Pleaes note that many of the Sunrise ebuilds are old and may be buggy. If you decide to move them, please make sure to update/clean them up. The proxy-maint team will also review your ebuilds, therefore making sure they land in Gentoo in good quality. Once again, thank you for your contribution. We hope that you will still want to contribute to Gentoo, through proxy-maint or otherwise.
