Please explain me how the merge time can be longer than the current uptime ... amongst other stupid aspects of this output. It also fogot to tell me which emerge(s) are on way.

This problem did not happen with sys-apps/portage-2.2_rc17 . Output was shuffled, but, genlop could give the emerge on way, and show human readable estimations for remaining time.

Maybe I should also use an unstable (more recent) genlop ?

Yes, you should, with genlop-0.30.8-r2 it all works as expected, no strange 
output.

app-portage/genlop-0.30.8-r2 works fine. INVALID.
