Not a bad idea. I don't have any objections.

Oh and for the record, please use unified diffs for patches, the old format is just too ugly.

Hum, slim does seem to have a couple of bugs.

@Jeremy, if you feel slim is good/safe enough for general consumption, feel free to add it to x11-apps/xinit.

Dead upstream, open bugs..not fit for general consumption. I have a hard enough time wrangling the open bugs on it now. wontfix.
