Description Audiodef 2009-02-11 19:57:29 UTC
Just a feature request. K3B recognizes double-layer DVD discs. It would be useful if it alerted the user, via a pop-up, when a data DVD project crosses over from the size of a single-layer disc to a double-layer disc. I spent some time assuming K3B simply did not work. One day, I looked carefully at the screen and noticed the only way you know when this crossover happens is by watching the status bar at the bottom. Less technical users might never figure this out when trying to create a single-layer data DVD and it's just not burning the disc because there's just a tad too much data.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open K3B
2. Start a data DVD project
3. Add files until the project is larger than 4.4 GB. K3B could alert the user at this point that a single-layer DVD is no longer sufficient.

Feature requests should go to upstream bug tracker (bugs.kde.org IIRC), not gentoo, sorry :)
