New versions are available at the given URL. Also the current ebuild explicitly depends on a package from texlive-2007, while 2008 is available. Thanks. Reproducible: Always
Recent versions of sci-mathematics/maxima include imaxima already, and there's a blocker between the two packages. @sci-mathematics: I think we have to make a decision. Should we keep the bundled imaxima in s-m/maxima (and remove a-e/imaxima), or maintain imaxima as a separate package (then s-m/maxima shouldn't install imaxima, of course)?
I just see that we have already a notice about this issue in the wiki of the Emacs overlay, <http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/emacs/wiki/removed%20packages>: "Not clear if Maxima is new upstream, or if they have only bundled it." As far as I can see, imaxima sources are maintained by its author (Y. Honda) in the maxima VCS, which already has version 1.0rc1: <http://maxima.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/maxima/maxima/interfaces/emacs/imaxima/>.
I've bumped app-emacs/imaxima to 1.0_rc2 a few days ago. For the sci-mathematics/maxima part, there is bug 260663 now.
All done

To comment on this: imaxima _alternatively_ depends on dev-tex/mh or =dev-texlive/texlive-mathextra-2007*. That's because tl-mathextra-2007 included mh, but then it was split off as a stand-alone package, so -2008 doesn't include it anymore.
