Could you please somehow make the ebuild for media-libs/mesa-7.3 only inherit git when the ebuild will fetch its source from git?

Currently the ebuilds "breaks" live-rebuild tools like update-live-ebuilds or portage-2.2s "emerge @live-rebuild" as they all look in the inherit, sees git and decides that mesa-7.3 should be recompiled.
