I've got an rsync mirror setup on the following server if you'd like to add it to the namerica mirrors chud.imt.uwm.edu 129.89.70.108 contact: mgb@uwm.edu Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
I see the motd file indicates the server is a "Dual PIII-750 + 512MB RAM". What kind of bandwidth does the server have available to it? If it isn't already, will you be able to set the number of concurrent users to 15 or more? Thanks.

I've added 129.89.70.108 to the access list for rsync1.us.gentoo.org. Please update your rsync cron jobs to point to rsync1.us.gentoo.org and post back here when you've done so. We'll monitor the server for a couple days to make sure things are working fine. Thanks.
Are you syncing from rsync1.us.gentoo.org yet?
Had some problems with rsync1.us early on, it seems to be working now.
We've resolved some load issues we had with rsync1.us, so I'm monitoring the server again. Will post back in a couple of days with an update.
This server is now rsync5.us.gentoo.org. Please update the motd file to include that information. I've subscribed <mgb@uwm.edu> to our gentoo-mirrors mailing list (low volume). This list is used to discuss mirror-related issues. Thanks for supporting Gentoo.
