The doc of the URL refers to "Documentation/package.unmask/kde-4.2.0" which lacks the cmake package entry, isn't it ? : n22 /etc/portage/package.mask # emerge --nospinner --newuse --update --ask --verbose --deep --tree --with-bdeps=y world These are the packages that would be merged, in reverse order: Calculating dependencies ... done! !!! All ebuilds that could satisfy ">=dev-util/cmake-2.6.2" have been masked. !!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request: - dev-util/cmake-2.6.2-r1 (masked by: ~x86 keyword) - dev-util/cmake-2.6.2 (masked by: ~x86 keyword) For more information, see the MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or refer to the Gentoo Handbook. (dependency required by "kde-base/konq-plugins-4.2.0" [ebuild]) (dependency required by "world" [argument]) Reproducible: Always
This is something else. You dont have keyword, the package itself is unmasked :] And we wont supply every keyword you want, give us diff for what is missing and we might add it on other hand. But we clearly wont support kde4.2.0 on stable system until we are sure that it can run with no issues there. NOTE: for the guide, remove the darn note about package.unmask since kde4.2.0 is unmasked :]
Guide was updated. so closing this.
