After updating from ssmtp-2.61-r2 to ssmtp-2.62-r4 installed, all efforts to send mail fail started failing with a "501 Bad address syntax" message.

Reverting to ssmtp-2.61-r2 fixed the problem.

2.
3.

Actual Results:
send-mail: 501 Bad address syntax

I'm unable to reproduce this behavior with ssmtp-2.64-r4 or ssmtp-2.64-r5. I'm using mail-client/mailx-8.1.2.20050715-r1, what is your frontend to ssmtp? (ssmtp doesn't provide `mail`)
Comment 3 David Relson 2009-01-31 21:47:48 UTC
Same mail program as you -- mail-client/mailx-8.1.2.20050715-r1

However since I can't reproduce the problem this afternoon, I'm closing it.
