Description Nico Schlömer 2009-01-29 19:47:35 UTC
hi,

it's been going for a while now on kde 4.1.* and since yesterday on the new and shiny 4.2: some of the icons don't display and fall back to the ugly question mark thing.

not all of them are corrupted, but for example okular, kmail, amarok, frozen bubble, acroread,... and around 20 others.

this happens for all the users on this system.

same problem, or a hint?

cheers,
nico

Reproducible: Always

What kde packages did you install? Are you sure you have kdebase-data installed?
Comment 2 Nico Schlömer 2009-01-30 12:41:55 UTC
my apologies: the official gentoo kde 4.x guide says:

$ emerge -1 kdebase-data && emerge -1 hicolor-icon-theme kdebase-data

and for f*cks sake DON'T file a bug about this.

needless to say the above worked. sorry for the spam!

cheers,
nico
