Description Tiago Freire 2003-07-31 11:47:06 UTC
It would be good to have ebuilds for the kolab clients, but I read on the lists
that they are mutually exclusive with both kdenetwork and kdepim. I suggest that
we could have a kde-kroupware ebuild, which is a modification on the kde ebuild,
using kdenetwork-kroupware and kdepim-kroupware packages instead of the standard
kde packages. and also individual ebuilds for each kolab client package, of
course. This will not be needed after KDE 3.2, but it will not arrive anytime
soon, so many people will want these ebuilds. Unfortunately, I havent the
skill/time to do this job.

I was allready working on such ebuilds based on the kontact package (kontact.kde.org)

Any updates?

nope.

I know nothing about this, but isn't this fixed now with KDE 3.2?
Comment 5 Dan Armak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-24 14:09:55 UTC
http://kontact.kde.org/groupwareservers.php says kontact 1.0 (kde 3.3.x)
supports kolab 1.0.x. http://kolab.org/client-features.html also seems
positive. And I'm not aware (use cluestick if necessary) of kde kolab
clients/kdepim branches outside the current 3.3.x releases (and kde HEAD of
course). So closing.
