mtr doesn't reverse-resolve addresses in the trace window when resolv.conf containts only ipv6 nameservers. strace shows it tries to send a PTR query packet over ipv4.
Does setting USE=ipv6 solve the problem? Does 0.75 solve the problem? Please post your `emerge --info' too.
