Description johnathan spectre 2003-07-31 06:57:35 UTC
when booting & using the livecd on my thinkpad (r30) the "autodetect devices"
spinning cursor never stops. after the system reaches a root prompt the cursor
continues to spin and advance across and down the screen.

this may look "elite" but it's annoying and could definately scare off a gentoo
newbie (and give reviewers something to bitch about when knocking gentoo).

workaround is to change root's password and log in via a different terminal
session.. still. a hassle.

Could you test again with one of the newer (testing) LiveCDs?
